Im back!
Hey folks sorry bout bein absent for the past few weeks, my grandpap passed not too long ago and i been with my family grieven and doing all the last writes stuff. I tell you it is depressing bein in those stuffy lawyer rooms. I swear they crank the heat just to make you miserabler.
Anyway I didnt get much from his will but I wasnt expecting much from it all.He was not known to be a very rich man raising my ma on just scraps he hunted. One time he was hunting out so late my grandma and ma got to thinking he was eaten by a bear only for him to come back with a bear in toe! He always loved tellin that one around the table and ma and grandma would always say it was not a bear but they did never say what it actually was. I always figured he didnt bring anything back or it was a stuffed bear or a teddy bear but im not exactly sure. Ill tell you what ill ask my ma next time I stopy by her place and Ill try to put it in the next post.
I cant be too bummed bout my grandpap he was practically a hundred! He had a pretty good life at least he when he wasnt having a pretty bad one! ha! He was a happy guy who always joked a whole bunch so I like to think hed want me to do the same in his place. And grandma still needs someone to complain about to her tea parties and dinner partys. I guess grandpa did gave me a new job after he passed! Haha!
Actually grandma did give me an old book belonging to grandpap when he passed and said something like hed want you to have this. Its some old storybook thing and honestly aint really exciting to someone like me but itd be rude to say no to your elders. Well I ended up flipping thruogh the book the other day and I found out that one of my grandpaps storys was written in there! Apperantly the author was some friend of his or something and interviewed him knowing he has lots of crazy stories. My grandpap always was a gossip! Haha! Id like to see the look on his face if he could read that!
Anyway like I said it some childrens book and all but I figured I could at least share my grandpaps story on here! Might do the world some good! Or at least my grandpap! Ha! Now I couldnt figure out how to get my camera photos put on the website so Im gonna ask a friend about that for next time but i did write down what his story says word for word or best Im able Its weird though cause I never took him for much of a writer or nothing like that and he never talked about it all that much. I figure its a good way to pay respects to him and I think he would like the idea of it so here is the words of his story.
Way up over yonder in the Appalachian.
Way on deep inside this one planet's finest nation.
Had a man living alone in his cabin of wood.
All by his lonesome he swore to enact only good.
And that he'd help those around him with all that he could.
On a dark stormy night in the mild middle of June.
Came from the woods a worn woman walking to the room.
She wore a full gown of feather with hair to fight back.
She said there's been running all night when losing the tack.
Thus the man offered a dinner with more beds than him.
But when the man stepped closer she found the tool of trim.
And she cried that she wasn't for you to keep within walls.
And she ran to the night for there was nothing to call.
Anyway that's the story. Not really sure whats goin on with it all but it was okay. I would like to get the photos of my camera because i think they make the story nicer. Im not sure if my grandpap drew the story or if the book author did but I guess Id gotta ask my grandma about that one. Im gonna see if I cant run by my bud Zekes and use his printer to get good photos of the book before my next update! I also gotta talk to him about getting one of those aol messangers i heard some folk yappin about.
And as always a big thanks to Zeke for setting up this website an teaching me how to actually write in it! Before I had thi site I was just doin an old hunting journal which was majorly boring me out! But now I got the world wide web watching me! I guess thats creepy talking to strangers but I think my dad always sad Id be known for how I can always talk someones ear off!
